A new energy-efficient sprayer helps entrepreneur to accelerate the work and reduce fuel costs

For more than 4 years, Jordon-Ogly Jamali Kasymovich has been engaged in crop agriculture cultivation in the Zhambyl region. He grows onions and sprays insects on alfalfa and tomatoes. To increase productivity and speed up his work, the entrepreneur decided to purchase specialized machinery and equipment. However, he did not have enough money to finance all the purchase. He applied for a loan Microfinance organization (MFO)”KMF”. The loan manager spoke about the Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) programme from the EBRD, which provides not only a loan for the purchase of the equipment but also an incentive in the amount of 10% of the purchase cost. Jamali Kasymovich was very much interesting in this opportunity. A suitable model of a well-known Ukrainian manufacturer was selected on the Green Technology Selector.  With the support of a loan, the entrepreneur has purchased new equipment and now can spray plants over many areas without refueling, which significantly saves fuel.

“I have a large workload, therefore, it is important for me to have high-quality equipment. With the support of the loan from the MFO “KMF” and the Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) Programme I have purchased a new energy-efficient sprayer, which helps to accelerate the work and reduce fuel costs. By reducing emissions, I also take care of the environment,” notes Jordon-Ogly Jamali Kasymovich.

This project was supported by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance.
