Grant Support

The GEFF is supported with grant funds from the European Union, the Republic of Austria and the Western Balkans Investment Framework.

Successfully implemented and verified projects may be eligible to receive an investment incentive for:

A. Individuals

• up to 15% of eligible costs for a project within an individual apartment or house involving a single technology category from the Technology Selector
• up to 20% of eligible costs for a project within an individual apartment or house involving a package of more than one technology category from the Technology Selector
• household appliances (e.g. refrigerators, freezers and air-conditioners) are not eligible for investment incentives

B. Groups of individuals, Housing Associations*, Service providers*

• up to 25% of eligible costs for a multi apartment buildings sub-project involving a single technology category from the Technology Selector
• up to 35% of eligible costs for a multi-apartment buildings sub-project involving a package of more than one technology category from the Technology Selector
• household appliances (e.g. refrigerators, freezers and air-conditioners) are not eligible for investment incentives

*Investment incentives must be passed on to the energy end-use/final beneficiary in the form and substance acceptable to EBRD

C. Vendors and manufacturers are not eligible for investment incentives.

Once your technology was installed, you can apply online for EU grant through our Verification Management System (VMS).

This online tool can be used from both desktop and mobile devices. You can start your Verification Request, save progress and continue at your convenience by using just one or by combining access from different devices. The system allows for easy upload of documents that can be photographed during the submission process. You can monitor the progress of your request through system generated emails or by logging into VMS.
