Eligibility Assessment Services

Two broad categories of investments are eligible to be financed using GEFF:

• investments in pre-approved technologies selected from the online Technology Selector; and
• positively assessed investments

Eligibility of green investment opportunities can be established through the Technology Selector or through the assessment performed by the GEFF team.

Technology Selector

Technologies available on the Technology Selector are pre-approved and therefore eligible for financing under the GEFF without any further approval. Financing is available to individuals owning or residing in a house or an apartment in which they intend to implement an eligible investment.

Financing of technologies from the Technology Selector also includes costs of auxiliary materials, delivery and installation up to the defined maximum percentage of the technology costs.

Assessment

Assessment is carried out in case of investments that are too complicated for the simple pre-approved approach:

• renovation of multi apartment buildings by groups of individuals, Housing Associations and service providers
• expansion of sales or production of eligible technologies by vendors and manufacturers.

Assessed projects also includes eligible labor-related costs such as transportation, disposal, delivery and installation based on the individual investment proposal.

GEFF assessment services are provided by impartial experts selected by the EBRD.
