The EBRD GEFF Programme was presented at the 8th International Fair of energy, mining, environmental protection and supply industry ‘Energa’ which was held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina 19 – 21 June 2018.
At the ‘Energa’ Fair, GEFF representatives presented its credit line for financing of green economy, under auspice of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) which provides funding for environmentally friendly investments in housing sector and supports companies that produce energy efficient technologies or provide services to households in this field.
The GEFF Technical Expert for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Nihad Harbas, also took part in the panel discussion ‘Financing of energy efficiency measures’ and ‘Energa b2b 2018’ business meetings.
‘Energa’ Fair assembled 120 exhibitors from 11 countries and 200 participants in the Fair’s conference part. During this unique energy event held for the eighth consecutive year, representatives of local authorities, international agencies and NGOs from Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad discussed the achievements to date and needs of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the energy sector.
The GEFF is implemented in the Western Balkan countries under the framework of the Regional Energy Efficiency Programme for the Western Balkans (REEP Plus) which is financed by the European Union (EU) and realized in cooperation with the Energy Community Secretariat (ECS). The technical assistance programme is supported by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) and the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF).
