The sixth scientific-professional conference “Sphere 2018: Technology, Materialization and Roof Systems” was held in Mostar on 24-25 October 2018.
During the two-day conference, GEFF representatives presented to the participants the EBRD Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF), a programme which supports individuals and housing associations wanting to invest in energy efficient and renewable energy technologies to reduce their energy bills and improve their living standards, as well as reduce CO2 emission.
Along with the promotional activities carried out during the conference, Mr. Nihad Harbas, the GEFF technical expert for Bosnia and Herzegovina, held a presentation and informed the participants of the conference of the benefits of investing in energy efficient technologies through the GEFF program.
More than 400 participants from the region attended and participated actively at the “Sphere” conference. The topics included technological achievements and innovation in producing roof construction systems, modern fitting and installation techniques, elementary qualities of substances in systems, security systems, recycled materials, sustainable construction, renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, and legislation and regulations.
The GEFF is implemented in the Western Balkan countries under the framework of the Regional Energy Efficiency Programme for the Western Balkans (REEP Plus) which is financed by the European Union (EU) and realized in cooperation with the Energy Community Secretariat (ECS). The technical assistance programme is supported by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) and the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF).
