Turkish vendor of energy efficient cooling systems boosts its sales

A Turkish vendor of cooling systems, Modern Klima, sold more than 5,000 energy efficient cooling systems with the support of the Türkiye Residential Energy Efficiency Financing Facility (TuREEFF).

Modern Klima is based in one of the hottest climate zone in Türkiye, Antalya. The demand for cooling systems is high and the the company sells its products to  residents in the region to keep them cool and comfortable during hot days.

Efficiency of cooling systems is important for decreasing the energy bills especially in hot regions. Modern Klima produces energy efficient systems and is the type of vendor that the TuREEFF aims to support.

Modern Klima applied for a vendor loan through TuREEFF and registered it’s energy efficient cooling systems on the Technology Catalogue.

Thanks to the loan Modern Klima was able to reach more households and boost its sales. As a result, the company sold more than 5,000 energy efficient cooling systems.

By using more than 5,000 energy efficient cooling systems overall energy savings amount to more than 1,913,000 kWh per year. This is equivalent to electricity consumption of around 80o households on a yearly basis. The CO₂ emission reduction is substantial, 348 tonnes per year.

TuREEFF in Türkiye was developed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and is supported by the Climate Technology Fund under the Clean Investment Funds (CIF) and European Union (EU).
