The kick-off meeting of GEFF MfW was held with the attendance of MfW management, EBRD, and the GEFF consulting team at MfW’s headquarter offices.
During the meeting, the GEFF team engaged with the business development unit and representatives of the operations department. They commenced proceedings with a thorough presentation outlining the GEFF Facility program and its associated value proposition. This presentation garnered significant interest from MfW management.
MfW already has an advantage since its has been offering a green product “Taqati”, which was the first of its kind in the microfinance sector. Under GEFF, MfW management found great potential to enhance the product and enlarge the target group.
Lastly, the GEFF team presented the technical assistance aspects of the GEFF Facility, including staff training & capacity building, projects assessment, marketing, and product development, all of which are provided by an international and local experts team. Further, the EBRD e-learning platform is accessible to MfW employees and presents a vital support tool towards increasing awareness about the concept of green finance.
