On 7 December 2023, an online event was held in Almaty to raise awareness of support for renewable energy (RES) projects under the GEFF programme in Kazakhstan. The event was attended by 65 participants, including equipment suppliers, financial organisations and business representatives interested in implementing RES projects.
The event was opened by the Project Manager of the GEFF in Kazakhstan, who introduced the program to the participants and spoke about the opportunities and benefits of its implementation. A representative of Bank CenterCredit JSC presented the available financial instruments available under the program. The event was also addressed by representatives of leading manufacturers and suppliers of equipment in the RES sector: SIEMENS LLP, Andritz Hydro, Longi Green Energy Technology Co. and CINK-hydro. The speakers not only demonstrated their equipment, but also shared their experience and experience on what should be taken into account at the initial stages of project implementation to avoid mistakes and problems at the design and installation stages.
