On 24 February, a webinar was held to present financing opportunities for projects in the fields of waste processing and the circular economy under the GEFF programme of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The webinar was organised by the Kazakhstan Association for Waste Management “KazWaste”. GEFF partner institutions — Bank CenterCredit and BCC Leasing — delivered presentations. Participants were informed about the programme and the available financial and advisory support instruments, including opportunities to finance the purchase of equipment and machinery to enhance business efficiency and increase recycling volumes in line with international and national energy efficiency standards.
During the Questions and Answers session, participants received additional practical guidance on accessing advisory support, combining GEFF financing with government support programmes, and engaging in direct dialogue with partner institutions.
The event marked a further step in cooperation between the Association and the GEFF programme under the previously signed Memorandum of Understanding.
The organisers thank the partners and participants for a constructive exchange and their continued interest in strengthening financing mechanisms for environmental projects in Kazakhstan.
