The new AAC block production facility contributes to increasing the availability of energy-efficient construction materials in Kazakhstan’s construction sector

S NS BETON, established in 2022, is implementing a project to launch the production of autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) blocks in Alatau District, Almaty.

Over the past decade, Kazakhstan has experienced strong growth in residential construction, accompanied by steadily increasing demand for AAC blocks. Rising prices for traditional construction materials and stricter building energy efficiency requirements have contributed to the wider use of AAC in the construction sector. At the same time, demand for AAC products in the country continues to exceed existing supply.

To establish the new facility, the company plans to purchase and install an AAC production line equipped with a skip hoist and a production capacity of up to 32 m³ per day. This will enable the company to produce up to 2.8 million blocks of various sizes annually.

The project is being implemented with financing provided by Bank CenterCredit under the EBRD Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF).

Compared to conventional concrete blocks, AAC blocks offer lower thermal conductivity, lower density and lower weight. The investment will help increase the supply of energy-efficient construction materials in Kazakhstan and meet growing demand from the construction sector.
