On 27 February 2026, a ceremonial award ceremony for the winners of the competition among KICB Bank credit specialists was held at the Bank’s Head Office in Bishkek.
The event brought together the KyrSEFF team and the management of KICB Bank to honour branch employees from across the country who demonstrated a high level of professionalism, a deep understanding of green financing mechanisms, and active promotion of the KyrSEFF programme opportunities among clients.
During the competition, the following criteria were assessed:
• quality of consultations on energy-efficient solutions;
• knowledge of KyrSEFF programme instruments and conditions;
• number and quality of financed projects;
• contribution to the development of the bank’s green portfolio.
The winners of the competition were:
1st place – Sabira Zhortbekova (Bishkek)
2nd place – Miraida Moldobaeva (Naryn region)
3rd place – Taalaybek Rakhmatov (Naryn region)
The winners received well-deserved awards and recognition from colleagues for their contribution to promoting energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable solutions in Kyrgyzstan.
“For me, participation in the KyrSEFF programme is not just about working with credit products, but an opportunity to help clients make decisions that make their homes and businesses more energy-efficient and cost-effective. I am pleased to be part of an initiative that contributes to the development of the green economy in Kyrgyzstan,” noted Sabira Zhortbekova.
KyrSEFF systematically works to strengthen the capacity of bank employees by organising training programmes, providing advisory support and methodological guidance. This enables credit specialists to professionally and confidently advise clients on housing and business modernisation, the introduction of energy-efficient technologies and the reduction of environmental impact.
“Thanks to close cooperation with KICB Bank, we expect to expand the outreach of the KyrSEFF programme and provide even more clients with access to green financing instruments. This will not only allow the implementation of energy-efficient solutions across the country, but also systematically contribute to the development of the green economy of Kyrgyzstan,” emphasised KyrSEFF engineer Zhanybek Kulumbetov.
Such champions among bank employees are the result of many years of partnership between KyrSEFF and KICB Bank aimed at expanding access to energy-efficient financial instruments and fostering a sustainable green economy in Kyrgyzstan.
