The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has provided Demir Kyrgyz International Bank JSC with a first tranche loan of up to $15 million as part of the third phase of the Green Economy Financing Facility in the Kyrgyz Republic – KyrSEFF III/GEFF.
This was announced at the 34th Annual Meeting of EBRD shareholders held in London. The funds are intended for microfinance institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as private households — to implement projects aimed at climate change adaptation, reduction of harmful emissions, and efficient use of water resources.
The program’s goal is to support environmental initiatives and stimulate foreign economic activity.
Financial support will also cover manufacturers and suppliers of energy-efficient equipment included in the Green Technology Selector database available on the KyrSEFF/GEFF platform.
