Within the KyrSEFF program, a large-scale engagement initiative was implemented in partnership with FINCA and KICB Banks, aimed at strengthening the capacity of credit specialists and promoting green finance practices in the regions.
Throughout March, the KyrSEFF team conducted a series of field trainings across the country, from Batken to Issyk-Kul. The program engaged not only branch-level credit specialists but also bank management, ensuring a comprehensive approach from strategy to practice. The focus was placed on practical tools.
Participants worked with the project calculator, analyzed real case studies, and met with clients and suppliers. This approach enabled not just the transfer of knowledge, but its integration into daily operations.
Key topics included energy efficiency for businesses and households, agri-finance, as well as climate adaptation solutions from drip irrigation to water-saving technologies and sustainable agricultural practices.
Establishing direct engagement with regional suppliers was particularly important. It strengthens the ecosystem of green solutions and shortens the path from financing to project implementation.
This training format demonstrates that sustainable finance is not only about products, but also about capabilities. When a credit specialist understands the technology, project economics, and client needs, they become a driver of change.
It is through building expertise on the ground that access to energy-efficient and climate solutions for households and businesses is meaningfully expanded.
