Due to KyrSEFF, Tynchtykbek Kulmurzaev was able to insulate the walls, floor and ceiling, install energy efficient windows and is also about to purchase the necessary refrigeration equipment for the workshop.

Bishkek resident Tynchtykbek Kulmurzaev has been developing his confectionery business for three years. Previously, his pastry shop was located in an unheated building on the territory of his house, which created certain inconveniences. Tynchtykbek Kulmurzaev decided to demolish it and build a two-story building, with the confectionery shop on the 1st floor and living quarters for employees on the 2nd floor.

To implement this project, he used a loan from Kompanion Bank, which offered him financing through the KyrSEFF program. Thanks to this, Tynchtykbek Kulmurzaev was able to insulate the walls, floor and ceiling, install energy efficient windows and is also about to purchase the necessary refrigeration equipment for the shop.

Tynchtykbek Kulmurzaev used aerated concrete for the walls, glass wool for the roof and ceiling, and expanded polystyrene for the floor – all of these materials provide high energy efficiency and help keep heat in the room. Construction is now active.

“My goal is to grow small businesses and produce environmentally friendly products. We strive for a comfortable working environment, saving on energy and heating costs while minimizing harm to the environment. Thanks to KyrSEFF, we were able to take advantage of favorable credit terms,” shared Tynchtykbek Kulmurzaev.

Thanks to KyrSEFF, the facility will save 48.93 MWh of energy per year and reduce CO2 emissions by more than 26.38 tons per year.

KyrSEFF is implemented with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development – EBRD.

As a result of implementation of all agreed energy efficiency measures, the grant part from EBRD may amount up to 15% of the total loan amount.
