A resident of Tash-Moinok village, Bakai Okombaev, sold a 3-room apartment of 104-series in the southern districts of Bishkek with the desire to build a house in a village with healthier surroundings and better air quality.

Before implementing house insulation, he applied to the GEFF Kyrgyzstan (Kyrseff III) Program and a loan from Kompanion Bank.

The most modern energy-efficient and resource-saving technologies have been implemented in a building; the construction is finished. The installed measures are thermal insulation of the walls, roof, and ceiling; energy-efficient windows and window glazing; and a refrigerator with A++ energy consumption class.

According to Bakai Okombaev, the house is 2 bricks thick; the rooms themselves are as warm, as they can talk barefoot.

“My parents bought the land; my father dreamed of building a big, warm house. I had to make his wish come true. From my city-life experience in a multi-residential building flat, you usually do not think about heating measures as they are provided to you by power plants. Having moved here, I decided that I needed to implement all of the available insulation methods.

I thank the GEFF Kyrgyzstan (KyrSEFF III) program for this opportunity. By becoming more environmentally friendly, we improve the health of our nation. I advise you to use KyrSEFF and insulate your homes; winter is coming and warmth is your health,” noted Bakai Okombaev.

He also expressed gratitude to Kompanion Bank for its profitable lending; the amount of the grant portion may amount to 12% of the total loan amount.
