This year marks the 14th anniversary of Eureka Educational Centre in Osh. Over the years, the institution has become one of the city’s leading educational centres, offering continuous education for children from kindergarten through Grade 12.
For the Centre’s Director, Almakhan Musaeva, quality education goes hand in hand with fostering environmental responsibility among students. This commitment to sustainability is what first drew her attention to the KyrSEFF programme.
“I first learned about KyrSEFF when we were considering installing a heat pump for our sports hall. We were interested in energy-efficient technologies and the opportunity to reduce utility costs. Although we are still evaluating that project, it introduced us to the programme,” says Almakhan Musaeva.
Later, she decided to take advantage of KyrSEFF financing to purchase an electric vehicle. In April 2026, with financial support from DemirBank, the Centre obtained a KyrSEFF loan to purchase a 2025 BYD Yuan Plus, offering a driving range of up to 510 kilometres.
Today, the vehicle serves as the Educational Centre’s official transport, supporting daily operations, business meetings across Osh and regular trips to neighbouring regions.
“I frequently travel to Jalal-Abad and nearby areas. The charging infrastructure is developing rapidly, making electric vehicles increasingly convenient to use. The car has proven to be comfortable, agile and highly economical to operate,” she explains.

Today, Eureka Educational Centre provides education to around 300 students and employs 54 staff members. The Centre places particular emphasis on English language and mathematics, developing students’ intellectual potential and encouraging an active, responsible approach to life.
Its students consistently achieve outstanding results in the National Scholarship Test and regularly win prizes in mathematics and English language Olympiads. Volleyball and chess are also part of the curriculum, with chess taught as a separate academic subject.
“Choosing an electric vehicle was, above all, a conscious decision. Environmental issues are becoming increasingly important. We see the impact of air pollution and understand that we must think about the future of our children. I believe it is important to lead by example and demonstrate responsible environmental behaviour,” says Almakhan Musaeva.
This philosophy is also being integrated into the Centre’s educational approach.
The school is planning to introduce environmental education as part of its curriculum, helping students develop greater awareness of sustainability and climate responsibility from an early age.
“We are grateful to KyrSEFF for its support. Programmes like this encourage people to choose environmentally friendly transport and modern energy-efficient technologies. They provide real motivation for those who want to contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable future,” she adds.
Looking ahead, Eureka Educational Centre is also considering implementing additional energy-efficient technologies in its facilities.
The KyrSEFF Green Economy Financing Programme is implemented in the Kyrgyz Republic with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
