Thanks to the technical modernization implemented through KyrSEFF, the company became capable of producing multifunctional glass that requires more delicate processing, including the use of soft brushes, high-quality edge treatment, and compliance with advanced sealing technologies.
“El Muras” LLC, led by Urmat Matraimov, has been operating in the market since 2010. The company is based in Osh, where both its production workshop and retail outlet are located. Initially, the enterprise focused on glass sales, but in 2016 it began expanding its operations by opening plastic and window production workshops.
The next stage of development was the launch of insulated glass unit production. In 2022, the company introduced this new direction, although a significant share of processes was still performed manually. The only automated element at the time was a washing machine, which limited production volumes and required a large workforce.

“Previously, almost everything was done manually. It took a lot of time and did not allow us to take on large orders,” says Urmat Matraimov, Director of “El Muras” LLC.
As demand for insulated glass units increased, especially after 2020, the company started modernizing its production processes. In 2024, Urmat Matraimov approached Kompanion Bank, where he was introduced to the KyrSEFF programme. Through the programme, the company purchased equipment for an automated insulated glass production line.
The upgraded technical capacity made it possible to manufacture multifunctional glass products requiring more advanced and careful processing, including soft-brush cleaning systems, precise edge treatment, and proper sealing technologies.
“The key advantage of the new equipment is the ability to work with modern energy-efficient glass solutions. This improves product quality and significantly expands our capabilities,” Matraimov explains.
Over the past decade, the glass market in Kyrgyzstan has also undergone substantial transformation. While sheet glass sales dominated the market in the early 2010s, cutting technologies began to emerge after 2015. By 2020, production processes had become increasingly sophisticated, including frame assembly and elements of automation.
Today, around 60% of the company’s sheet glass is sold to resellers, while approximately 30% is processed into insulated glass units and mirror products. The company plans to increase the share of processing through further expansion of its production capacities.
Currently, the enterprise operates on an area of approximately 600 square metres. However, a large-scale expansion project is already underway. The company has been allocated two hectares of land in an industrial zone, where a new production facility of approximately 7,500 square metres is planned.

The project will be implemented in two phases: construction first, followed by equipment installation. As part of the expansion, the company plans to launch glass tempering production, expand insulated glass manufacturing, and potentially introduce tinted glass production. In 2024, the company received a grant covering approximately 14% of the loan amount.
Annual electricity savings are expected to reach 410 MWh, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of around 90 households.
CO₂ emissions reductions are estimated at 21.22 tonnes annually, comparable to the annual emissions of approximately five passenger vehicles.
“For us, cooperation with KyrSEFF is not only financial support but also comprehensive expert guidance. The team remains constantly available and actively engaged at every stage, from equipment selection to technical solutions. Thanks to their consultations, we were able to make more precise and economically justified decisions that are already helping us reduce energy consumption and build a foundation for the company’s sustainable development,” says Urmat Matraimov.
The company is also a member of the JIA Business Association and continues expanding its production capacities with a strong focus on technological advancement and product quality improvement. In the future, “El Muras” LLC plans to install a solar power station to reduce electricity consumption after relocating to a larger production facility.
The KyrSEFF Green Economy Financing Programme is implemented in the Kyrgyz Republic with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
