Thanks to the support of the KyrSEFF Green Economy Financing Program, carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions will be reduced by 21.31 tons per year, which is equivalent to planting more than 900 trees needed to absorb the same amount of CO₂.

Temirlan Mambetaliyev, a resident of the city of Kemin, in 2024 decided to build a warm and modern house at the foot of the Kyrgyz mountains on his own land plot.

To implement the project, Temirlan Mambetaliyev turned to Kompanion Bank, where credit specialists offered him to apply for a targeted loan under the KyrSEFF Green Economy Financing Program, implemented in Kyrgyzstan with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Thanks to the financing and technical support of the program, Temirlan Mambetaliyev began construction. Now the construction of the house is nearing completion, it will include a kitchen, a spacious hall, and three bedrooms, a separate shower room, etc. An ochok kana is also planned for cooking and holding celebrations. Everything is being done by their own efforts: both Temirlan and his wife work and have invested a lot of effort and funds into the construction. The house is being built not only as a place to live, but also as a place for family gatherings, celebrations, and strengthening family ties.

Special attention was paid to energy efficiency: energy-saving windows and high-quality, airtight doors were installed; insulation was carried out on the exterior walls, ceiling, roof, and floor. Modern construction materials were used that retain heat and reduce heat loss.

KyrSEFF engineers carried out calculations that clearly show the benefits of such energy-efficient construction. Thus, the annual electricity savings amount to 35.99 megawatt-hours, which is enough to provide electricity for approximately 18–20 medium-sized private homes for an entire year.

The reduction of carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions is 21.31 tons per year, which is equivalent to planting more than 900 trees needed to absorb the same amount of CO₂.

“It is important for the house to be warm. For this, it is not necessary to burn extra coal. It is necessary to save electricity consumption and care for nature. In winter, such a house is warm, and in summer, it is cool. This is convenient for us and beneficial for the environment. Thanks to KyrSEFF, everything has become easier. I especially appreciate the grant, as it covers part of the interest rate on the loan. This is real help for Kyrgyz citizens,” – noted Temirlan Mambetaliyev.

This story is a clear example of how, thanks to modern technologies and the support of KyrSEFF, it is possible to build an energy-efficient, comfortable, and environmentally friendly home without overburdening the family budget.

KyrSEFF is not just a financing program. It is a real tool for supporting sustainable development that helps the people of Kyrgyzstan reduce utility costs, improve the level of comfort in their homes, and reduce the negative impact on the climate.
