GEFF Mongolia’s Marketing and Gender Consultant, Nomin Lkhagvasuren, discusses key findings from the EBRD/GEFF Mongolia Gender Baseline Assessment in a podcast on MNB’s Khukh Tenger Radio. She highlights gender patterns in access to climate finance and key barriers faced by women-led businesses, noting that despite high awareness of climate change among women, gender norms and unequal decision-making can limit their full participation. The discussion also outlines GEFF Mongolia’s role in promoting gender-responsive green finance through improved access to green loans and inclusive lending practices. By the end of 2025, around 40 percent of GEFF loans have been issued to women-led businesses, while approximately two-thirds have supported SMEs.
