Modernising Logistics with Eco-Friendly and Efficient Solutions

Alex Textile, a leading textile manufacturer in Armenia, is committed to innovation and sustainability. By investing in modern technologies, the company enhances production while reducing its environmental footprint.

To modernise its logistics fleet and promote eco-friendly transportation, Alex Textile purchased 6 Dong Feng EC75 electric mini vans and vehicle chargers. This decision was driven by the company’s dedication to sustainability and its goal of reducing operational costs. The transition to electric vehicles aligns with its commitment to adopting green technologies and improving efficiency.

With a US$ 219,500 investment, Alex Textile successfully avoided 32.3 MWh of energy use annually and significantly reduced fuel consumption, resulting in both cost savings and environmental benefits. Additionally, the project reduces CO2 emissions by 8.5 tonnes per year, supporting global climate goals and mitigating environmental impact.

According to the bank, the client recognised the project’s contribution to their sustainability goals and operational improvements, highlighting the benefits of cost savings and reduced environmental impact.

This project was supported by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and Climate Investment Funds (CIF).
