Clean energy production in Ankara province

TurSEFF loan is helping clean energy production from on-grid unlicensed ground solar power plant (SPP).

Akyurt SPP was established in Ankara province and aims to invest in solar energy projects in Türkiye. Ant Mücevherat, Ayanoğlu, Bahar Saatçilik, Buhara Havacılık, Serhat Turan, Saat İstanbul, Saatpark Saat are special purpose vehicles (SPV which aim to invest in solar PV projects.) Sponsor of the project is Çetin Yatırım Enerji Anonim Şirketi.

Akyurt SPP project consists of two 570 kWp and six 1.14 MWp un-licensed plants, the produced electricity will be entirely sold to the grid.

Company financed the investment by TurSEFF loan blended with technical assistance. During the project implementation TurSEFF consultant performed the project analysis, assessed the potential of energy savings, financial-technical parameters, and risks of the investment.

The company used €4,435,377 TurSEFF loan from a partner financial institution. As a result of the investment, the SPP will provide 9,126 MWh energy saving. This green energy investment will contribute mitigation of climate change’s negative impacts.

The plant helps reduction of the CO2 emissions up to 3,477 tonnes per year.

The Türkiye Sustainable Energy Financing Facility (TurSEFF) was developed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to provide financing for Resource Efficiency and Sustainable Energy investments. European Union (EU) is supporting TurSEFF by providing finance to Technical Assistance.
