Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Al-Taybeh, Irbid, Alquraan Farm stands out as a beacon of sustainable farming practices. Established with a vision to promote eco-friendly agriculture, the farm has gained recognition for its high-quality produce and innovative techniques.
Alquraan Farm boasts a diverse cultivation of vegetables and fruit, which thrives thanks to its advanced irrigation system designed to maximize efficiency and ensure optimal growth.
In addition to its impressive crop production, Alquraan Farm has ventured into aquaculture, establishing a successful fish farming operation. Using locally constructed ponds, the farm produces an impressive 200 tons of fresh fish annually. This initiative not only contributes to local food security but also supports the farm’s overall sustainability goals.
Alquraan Farm demonstrates a strong commitment to environmental responsibility, with 7,000 trees already planted across its landscape. This initiative reflects the farm’s dedication to sustainable practices while maintaining high agricultural productivity standards.
To further enhance its output and meet the increasing demands of the local market, Alquraan Farm is actively exploring innovative farming methods. This proactive approach ensures that the farm remains at the forefront of agricultural advancements. Additionally, the farm’s unexploited land presents significant potential for future expansion. This untapped resource positions Alquraan Farm as a versatile and forward-thinking player in the region’s agricultural sector, ready to adapt to new challenges and opportunities.
This project aims to improve farming using aquaponics technology. The key upgrades include reinforcing retaining walls, digging a new pond to expand fish farming, and installing a modern drip irrigation system. By using fish waste as organic fertilizer, the project will increase crop productivity through a sustainable approach, which combines fish and plant farming.
Alquraan has upgraded the farm’s infrastructure by replacing pumps, maintaining well pipes, and adding liners to a new pond. Wastewater from fish farming will be reused for irrigation, enhancing efficiency and promoting environmental sustainability. These improvements aim to boost agricultural production, support local economic growth, and foster sustainable farming in challenging terrain.
