Askom Makina – A PMR project in Ankara, Türkiye

TurSEFF financing supported Askom Makina in replacing an old drilling rig with a more efficient model, helping the company reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions while increasing operational capacity.

Askom Makina Mühendislik A.Ş. imports and sells various brands of compressors and construction machinery in Türkiye. The company also supplies spare parts and offers maintenance services for its machinery portfolio.

To reduce high operating costs and improve production capacity, Askom Makina decided to replace its existing drilling rig with a more energy-efficient and productive model. The company aimed to modernize its operations while contributing to sustainability.

With TurSEFF financing, the company invested in a modern drilling rig with improved fuel efficiency and performance in 2023. The project aimed to reduce the environmental impact of operations while improving long-term profitability.

Having invested €141,419 in the new equipment with TurSEFF financing, the company expects to save approximately 33,000 liters of fuel-oil annually, significantly cutting operating costs and increasing efficiency.

The new drilling rig is expected to reduce 116 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year, supporting cleaner and more sustainable construction activities.
