Beyçelik Gestamp – A RSPV project in Bursa, Türkiye

GEFF Türkiye loan is helping automotive sector supplier’s renewable energy projects, with PV panels selected from Green Technology Selector (GTS).

Beyçelik Gestamp, a subsidiary of Beyçelik Holding operating in the automotive sector, is an international company that designs, develops, and manufactures dies, equipment, and components in the automotive metal parts industry.

Beyçelik was in search of alternative ways of decreasing energy consumption and accordingly benefiting from low emissions. Company decided to invest in rooftop solar PV plant and applied GEFF Türkiye to reach finance and to benefit from GEFF technical assistance.

GEFF Türkiye advised company about alternative and economic ways to realize this investment. The GEFF team helped the company in using Green Technology Selector, and to select the optimum pre-approved equipment from the GTS.

With €2,620,811 financing from GEFF, in 2024, Beyçelik selected solar panels from the Green Technology Selector and installed a 4,805 kWp rooftop solar power plant (RSPV) to reduce energy costs. This rooftop SPP investment is expected to support the company’s sustainable production goals, generating 4,837 MWh of electricity per year.

Furthermore, company reduced 1,698 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent emissions. This emission reduction will help the company to become more environmentally sustainable.

The Green Economy Financing Facility in Türkiye (GEFF Türkiye) was developed by The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and is supported by Clean Technology Fund (CTF), Republic of Turkiye Ministry of Treasury and Finance (MoTF) and EBRD Shareholder Special Fund.
