Measures that contribute to a higher quality of life, in terms of preserving the environment and health, as well as reducing energy consumption, are measures to increase energy efficiency.
Grgo Bozic from Mostar is expecting a baby soon, so it is very important for him and his wife to keep the family home warm during the winter, but also pleasant to stay during the hot summers in Herzegovina.
The Bozic family decided to make the house warm, cleaner and more comfortable to live in through the GEFF programme for the Western Balkans by investing in a heat pump.
The investment worth EUR 3,656 brought this Mostar family an EU incentive of EUR 548.
Now the family achieves energy savings of 0,7 MWh per year, and the maintenance of the heat pump is simple. They expect savings on heating during the winter in the amount of EUR 250.
The GEFF programme for the Western Balkans is supported by the European Union (EU), the Federal Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Austria and the Western Balkans Investment Framework in cooperation with the Energy Community Secretariat (ECS).
