New energy-efficient boiler helps to improve the heating system and reduce energy consumption

The small house of the Talas village, where the family with three small children moved to, had an old heating system. It was especially cold in the house during the winter, and the children were often sick. Parents decided to modernise the heating system, but there was not enough money to purchase a new boiler. The spouses understood that the purchase of new boiler was an investment for many years ahead, and they wanted to buy energy efficient equipment of a high quality. On the advice of their neighbours who have already taken advantage of the Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) programme from the EBRD, they applied to the Microfinance organization (MFO) “KMF” for a loan. Under the terms of this Programme, the eligible equipment has to be selected from Green Technology Selector and purchased from any supplier for credit funds. The loan manager of MFO “KMF” helped to select an eligible model of a well-known German manufacturer and quickly issued a loan.

“When choosing a boiler, we paid special attention to safe and energy efficient models that will serve for a long time. The value of the most eligible models were above the amount we could spend on a purchase. But thanks to the loan from MFO “KMF” and the GEFF Programme, we were able to purchase high-quality equipment previously prohibitively expensive for us. Now it is warm and dry in the house. Currently, we are confident that our kids are safe and nothing threatens their health,” said the spouses.
