Window producer installs efficient glass edger and saves $25,000 per year on electricity consumption reduction

Profal LLC is one of the leading companies in Armenia, manufacturing various glass and metal constructions, interior and façade solutions, furniture, automatic gates, protection blinds, mineral fibre hanging ceilings, flooring, roofing and other products. It is a large import player and is the official representative of almost fifty European companies and brands.

To maintain the high standards, the company decided to replace its old Chinese production line with a new and energy efficient unit, and addressed Energocredit for financing.

The Energocredit team performed analysis of this investment and assessed the potential for energy savings and the technical-financial parameters of the project to make sure the company achieved the best results.

The project included replacement of the old window processing line (including grinding, edging and washing equipment) with a mobile edger from an Italian supplier.

The $151,000 investment generates $25,000 cost savings for Profal each year. The cost savings arise due to a reduction in electricity consumption by 96 per cent per year. The investment will repay itself out of energy savings in six years, turning the future cash-flows into company income for the years to come.

This investment allows Profal to significantly reduce production costs and continue focusing on the quality and diversity of products to satisfy the most demanding clients.

This project was supported by the European Union and Austria.
