New Grain Harvesting Equipment for Fields in the Akmola Region
Shanyrak-R LLP has grown wheat in the Akmola region since 2003, with a total sown area of 50,000 hectares. For several years, the company used rotary combines for harvesting, but gradual wear and tear led to frequent breakdowns and high maintenance costs.
The company management decided to upgrade the equipment by purchasing a drum grain harvester from a well-known American brand. Experience has shown that, compared to other manufacturers, this brand’s models offer not only high speed and quality harvesting but are also easy to operate and require almost no repairs.
The company has previously purchased agricultural machinery on credit several times. However, during the financing process, the company’s director learned from a manager that under the Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) from the EBRD, it was possible to lease energy-efficient machinery from LLP Center Leasing, a subsidiary of JSC Bank CenterCredit. He was very interested in this offer, and the company decided to purchase a combine, a header, and a grain picker. According to the program terms, if the machinery is listed on the Green Technology Selector website, it qualifies for financing under the GEFF program. The selected harvester model was listed on the website, which allowed quick preparation of all necessary documents and greatly simplified financing approval.
“We are very pleased with the high-quality, energy-efficient equipment that meets our requirements for faster harvesting. It is also user-friendly and highly efficient,” said the company’s director.
The project was carried out with the support of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance.
