The new melting furnace helps the entrepreneur to speed up the work and improve product quality

Alina Yesengeldinova is an entrepreneur from Aktobe city. Her company is engaged in the remelting of scrap and non-ferrous metals. The company performs turning and milling work on an individual basis. To improve product quality and reduce power consumption, Alina Yesengeldinova decided to purchase new equipment. Since there were not enough money to finance the purchase, Alina applied to the Microfinance organization (MFO) “KMF”. The entrepreneur was pleasantly surprised as melting furnaces can be purchased under the Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) programme from the EBRD. Under the terms of the Programme, it is possible to receive an incentive of 10% of the total purchase price or loan amount, subject to compliance with the Programme criteria. Alina selected suitable equipment and submitted the required documents to the Programme specialists to verify the technical specifications and confirm the eligibility of the equipment.

“We have significantly reduced electricity costs with the installation of the melting furnaces. The equipment is modern, energy efficient and environmentally friendly. The quality of products has improved, and the melting time has been reduced,” says Alina Yesengeldinova.

This project was supported by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance.
