TurSEFF loan is supporting Fehmi Eroğlu Dış Ticaret A.Ş. a rooftop solar PV system in Malatya, with the solar panels selected from the Green Technology Selector (GTS).

Fehmi Eroğlu Dış Ticaret A.Ş. specializes in apricot trading, processing dried apricots, and apricot seed production on a large scale in the Turkish market, based in the Yeşilyurt Organized Industrial Zone in Malatya.

The company aimed to reduce its dependency on grid electricity, lower operational energy costs, and contribute to Türkiye’s transition to a greener economy by generating clean energy on-site.

TurSEFF team advised the company on alternative and cost-effective ways to realize this investment. The team helped the company to use the Green Technology Selector (GTS) and to select the most suitable among the pre-approved equipment from the GTS. TurSEFF provided financing for the installation of a rooftop solar power plant (SPP) with a capacity of 1,198 kWp.

The total investment of €484,072 led to the successful installation of the rooftop solar power plant in 2022. As a result, the system is expected to generate 1,595 MWh of electricity annually, significantly reducing electricity costs for the company.

The rooftop solar plant is estimated to reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 574 tonnes per year, contributing to climate change mitigation and cleaner air.

Türkiye Sustainable Energy Financing Facility (TurSEFF) was developed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and is co-funded by the European Union (EU), the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Treasury and Finance (MoTF), and supported by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (MoENR).
