From Trade to Processing: Developing a Food Production Business under GEFF II Tajikistan

Ayubjon Usmonov has been engaged in the trade of poultry meat since 2016. Building on his experience and gradually expanding his business, he and his partners established a slaughtering and processing facility in 2018 under the name LLC “Usmonov Ayubjon”, laying the foundation for further growth and value addition.

In 2025, the company took the next strategic step by launching a sausage production facility. As part of the project, modern processing equipment was procured from the People’s Republic of China. The total investment volume amounted to USD 260,000.

The project was financed through a green loan provided under the GEFF II Tajikistan with the support of Arvand Bank. Production was successfully launched in July 2025.

Today, the facility employs more than 16 local staff members. Finished products are stored in industrial refrigeration units, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and storage standards.

This project demonstrates how access to GEFF II Tajikistan  financing supports the development of local food production, enables business expansion, creates jobs, and promotes the adoption of modern and more efficient production solutions.
