Higher performance and productivity with modern processing equipment
Nurullo Barfakov, a private entrepreneur from the village of “6 Nasos” in the Jabbor Rasulov district, is a father of five and the owner of a private farm named “Nurullo Mahmadullo.” Although trained as a driver, he dedicated himself to farming, steadily developing his agricultural business despite all challenges.
Since 2024, Nurullo has applied for support from CJSC MDO “Imon International” for the eighth time, demonstrating strong financial discipline and the trust of his lender. This time, with the support of the GEFF program, he received a loan of 200,000 somoni for 36 months with a flexible repayment schedule. The funds were used to purchase 2,300 meters of plastic irrigation pipes and pay the wages of seasonal workers.
As a result of the project, drip irrigation was installed on 2 hectares of arable land and pasture. This not only expanded the cultivated area but also significantly increased yields, directly improving the family’s income. The use of water-saving technologies made the farm more resilient to climate risks and enabled future expansion planning.
“Now I am confident in every season — with drip irrigation, the harvest has become more stable, and the land works more efficiently,” says Nurullo.
His story is an example of how a systematic approach, proper use of microfinance, and the adoption of green solutions can not only preserve the land but also improve the family’s quality of life. Nurullo expresses sincere gratitude for the personalized approach and support that have allowed his farm to continue growing and thriving.
