GEFF has supported INSUTECH in the optimization process for the modified bitumen membrane (MBM) production line and replacement of an old cooling tower with a new energy-efficient one. The improvement resulted in increasing product range, helping the company to improve its competitiveness.
INSUTECH is specialized in manufacturing full packaging and insulation solutions to a wide variety of local industries as well as exporting to more than 57 countries globally.
INSUTECH was looking to modernize its production lines, through identifying energy saving opportunities, as well as, processes optimization opportunities. Thus, improving its profitability by saving on production costs and increasing its profitability through diversifying its products range.
The GEFF team provided technical support throughout the project, starting from identifying the highest energy saving and process optimization opportunities, all the way to performing the technical eligibility assessment.
The USD 780,500 investment allowed the company to reduce the energy consumption by 26 %. This will help the company save on production costs.
The new installed machinery led to a reduction of the CO2 emissions by 268 tonnes per year, making a valuable input towards mitigation of negative effect of human activities on climate.
