The company is a developer of a wind power plant in Türkiye, at the border of Izmir and Aydin provinces.
The company applied for MidSEFF financing to develop the 15MWe/18MWm capacity wind power plant, consisting of nine 2MW turbines with a hub height of 78 metres. The plant will supply all of the electricity produced to the national grid.
The MidSEFF team performed the project analysis, including financial-technical parameters, profitability and environmental aspects to make sure the investment reduces CO2 emissions and meets other environment and social standards.
The €20.4 million investment allows for the generation of 43.6 GWh of ‘green’ electricity per year – the amount of energy necessary for 20 thousand households. The annual sales of the green energy will reach €3.5 million, which means the investment will be repaid in seven and a half years, generating income for many more years to follow. In addition, the project saves annually 24,871 tonnes of CO2 emissions, which is a valuable input into the mitigation of the negative effects of human activity on the climate.
Last but not least, the project was selected for carbon certification and the process has already started.
This project contributed to the increase of renewable energy capacity in Türkiye, enhancing the country’s energy independence. The investment demonstrates the attractiveness and profitability of the wind power business and its priceless value for the country and the environment.
