TurSEFF financing supports the replacement of outdated drawframe machines with modern, energy-efficient models, improving productivity while reducing energy use and CO₂ emissions.

Maritaş is a textile company that supplies international clients with denim fabrics at the right quality, timing, and price.

Facing increasing energy costs and the need for higher production efficiency, Maritaş sought to modernize its equipment to produce better-quality products and improve profitability.

Company financed the investment by TurSEFF loan blended with technical assistance in 2022. During the project implementation, TurSEFF consultants performed the project analysis, assessed the potential of energy savings, financial-technical parameters, and risks of the investment.

The investment was implemented with €430,000 TurSEFF loan and the project is expected to enable the replacement of two old drawframe machines with efficient models, leading to higher output quality and lower operational costs. This is projected to significantly reduce the company’s energy costs and enhance its sustainability performance by saving 23 MWh of electricity each year.

This green energy project is expected to reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 9 tonnes per year, supporting Türkiye’s climate goals and contributing to the mitigation of climate change.

Türkiye Sustainable Energy Financing Facility (TurSEFF) was developed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and is co-funded by the European Union (EU), the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Treasury and Finance (MoTF), and supported by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (MoENR).
