GEFF loan is helping a service sector company generate clean energy through ground-mounted solar power plants using solar panels selected from Green Technology Selector (GTS).
Mavi Safir provides industrial laundry services to the tourism sector in Antalya, Muğla, and Manavgat. The company operates multiple facilities with different electricity tariffs—its main plant is located in Antalya Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) under an industrial subscription, while the Muğla and Manavgat sites are registered under commercial use.
In an effort to reduce operational energy costs and improve sustainability, Mavi Safir decided to invest in solar energy. The company applied to GEFF Türkiye to receive financing and technical support to develop a single, integrated solar power plant that would serve multiple facilities.
With guidance from GEFF Türkiye, Mavi Safir selected the most appropriate and efficient solution using the Green Technology Selector (GTS). In 2023, the company commissioned a fully integrated ground-mounted solar power plant in the Gelendost district of Isparta, with a total installed capacity of 1,401.4 kWp. Although the plant is located in a single site, it supplies electricity to all three facilities—Antalya OSB, Muğla, and Manavgat.
With a total investment of €1,165,528, the plant is expected to generate 1,850 MWh of electricity annually. This project marks a major step in Mavi Safir’s sustainability activities by combining technical innovation with operational efficiency.
Furthermore, by this investment, the company will reduce 649 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent emissions per year. This emission reduction will contribute to the company’s environmentally sustainable operations.
