New catheterization lab.

Institut Cardio Vasculaire de Tanger is a clinic specialized exclusively in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. After having operated for more than fifteen years with an old catheterization room. To enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer experiences, the company has opted to purchase a new efficient cardiac catheterization lab Artis One from Siemens Healthineers.

This new equipment offers high-resolution imaging at low X-ray dose, due to its CARE+ CLEAR technology, which has a controlled balance between image quality and dose. It improves readily reproducible workflows through a new generation of compact dynamic flat detectors. Additionally, it boasts energy savings of up to 20% when compared to the older equipment that has been in use for more than 15 years.

This investment supported by the Green Value Chain Facility has helped the clinic to boost working conditions while minimizing its energy consumption by 73 MWh/year of electrical energy corresponding to 20 % savings compared to the existing equipment. As a result, this investment resulted in a reduction in CO2 emissions by 41,76 TCO2 annually.

Green Value Chain (GVC) in Morocco is a credit facility of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to provide funding to local partner financial institutions for on-lending to Moroccan SMEs belonging to agribusiness, processing industries and logistics value chains and ecosystems. Supported by the European Union, the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the Korean Technical Assistance and Cooperation Account (KTACA) and the EBRD Shareholder Special Fund (EBRD SSF), the facility aims to improve competitiveness of SMEs and that of their value chains and ecosystems through highly efficient green investments.
