An entrepreneur from the city of Aktobe is an owner of the local dry-cleaner, located in the center of the city. Recently, employeesuhfvvjnyj and customers began to complain that it was very hot inside the dry-cleaner since the old air conditioner did not work properly. The owner decided to replace it. A consultant of the home appliances store, a consultant spoke about the Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) Programme from the EBRD. Under the terms of this Programme, when choosing eligible equipment from the Green Technologies Selector for the credit funds of the financial partner, it is possible to receive an incentive in the amount of 10% of the total purchase price, including costs of delivery and installation. An entrepreneur applied for a loan from the Microfinance organization (MFO) “KMF” to purchase an air conditioner. A loan expert helped to choose an eligible model of an air conditioner of a well-known Korean brand on the website of the Green Technology Selector. After the installation of the air conditioner, it became more comfortable in the dry-cleaner. Working conditions have been improved, employees and customers are satisfied, productivity and income are increasing.
“Initially, I planned to buy a cheap air conditioner, but when I learned about the green financing programme, I was able to purchase a more modern energy-efficient model. Of course, such an air conditioner is much better – it operates quietly, consumes less electricity, and serves longer. Thanks to the loan from the MFO “KMF”, as well as the GEFF Programme, the cost of air conditioning has become affordable. My business is not big, and it is necessary to plan resources wisely. I am very pleased with this Programme, I recommend it to my friends and relatives,” the entrepreneur said.
