New energy efficient freezer for grocery store in Shymkent

Zhazira Saparova is a longtime client of the Microfinance organization (MFO) “KMF”. Zhazira owns a small grocery store in the city of Shymkent. She has been using loans provided by the MFO “KMF” and participating in various promotions for many years. She learned about the Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) program from her loan expert. Zhazira chose a large energy efficient freezer from the Green Technology Selector and purchased a favorite model of Korean producer. She is very satisfied with the purchased freezer. A month later, Zhazira received an incentive in the amount of 10% of the cost of the freezer. She has invested the received money into the working capital of her store. She is going to take micro loans under the Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) programme in the future as well.

Zhazira says: “I just needed a new freezer for my store, as demand for products increased. When I heard about the benefits of energy-efficient equipment and an incentive in the amount of 10% of the cost of the equipment, I agreed immediately. There were no difficulties while buying a freezer”.
