A pensioner from the village of Chundzha modernized the heating system in his house, replacing the coal stove with a gas boiler

Marat Nasirov is a pensioner who lives in Chundzha village. In November 2020 he applied to the Microfinance organization (MFO) “KMF” to get a micro loan to buy a new gas boiler for his private house and replace the old one. The loan expert of the MFO “KMF” advised Marat Torsunovich to take an advantage of the Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) program and to receive an incentive in the amount of 10% of the boiler cost.

Marat Torsunovich for the borrowed funds purchased the gas boiler of a Korean producer, which has been chosen from the Green Technology Selector. The pensioner applied for the verification check of the intended use of funds after the boiler installation in his house and received an incentive in the amount of 10% of the total cost of the gas boiler and its component parts.

“I made calculations and thought it was a good opportunity,” said Marat. I received a 10% incentive for the boiler cost. It was very nice. I will recommend the MFO “KMF” and the Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) program to everyone!”

This project was supported by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance.
