The new energy efficient windows have not only increased comfort level in the house but also is a concern for the environment
A Kazakh entrepreneur from Almaty owns a small kitchen appliances company. In 2019, he started building a house for his family. From the very beginning, the man decided to install only energy saving windows. Therefore, it was necessary to find an appropriate company for manufacturing of such windows.
The man approached a major manufacturer of energy efficient windows in Almaty city. The company informed that they are partners of the Green Economy Financing (GEFF) program from the EBRD. Under this program, any client who purchases windows for personal needs using funding from a financial partner could receive a 10% incentive for the manufacturing and installation of windows. The entrepreneur got interested in this offer, so decided to participate in this program. He selected the eligible windows from the Green Technology Selector and applied to the Microfinance organization (MFO) “KMF” to obtain funding for this purchase. The windows were produced in a couple of weeks. After the windows installation, the man submitted documents for verification-check. In three weeks, a loan expert contacted him to inform that the incentive in the amount of 10% of the total costs, including costs of windows, delivery, and installation, had already been transferred to his bank account.
“I am grateful to the GEFF programme for the unique opportunity to make a useful and profitable purchase for my home, as well as receive the incentive in the amount of 10% of all costs of windows purchase and installation. The new energy efficient windows have not only increased comfort level in my house but also is a concern for the environment. I would advise all my friends to use the GEFF program as well.”
