A new NeuWise PET/CT scanner presenting the latest innovation of the Neusoft Medical Systems brand

Gestion Al Wiam is a Moroccan private clinics management company. In 2016, the company created Errahma clinic in Marrakech, whose treatment capacity reached 11,000 patients during its first year. It is a multidisciplinary care establishment which offers 21 specialties, capable of meeting the medical needs of Marrakech with a staff of 150 people, 64% of whom are women.

In order to continuously improve and provide all its patients the best care with the latest medical innovations, the clinic decided to acquire a new scanner equipped with advanced data collection technology to improve scanning speed and accuracy of analysis. It is equipped with an integrated molecular imaging platform with an advanced workstation, as well as a data management and analysis.  Thanks to its new technology, the new scanner allows a complete study of the disease, thus offering high precision diagnoses. The clinic is the fifth facility in Morocco to acquire this new technology, featuring anatomical and functional imaging combined with qualified design and technology, in addition to a multiple molecular imaging function for tumour, brain and cardiac imaging to fully study the disease.

This investment, which was supported by  the GEFF II technical assistance and financing, resulted in a reduction in CO2 emissions by 6 tCO2/year, as well as energy consumption  decrease from 5.6 kWh/scan to 4.3 kWh/scan (23%).

Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) in Morocco is a green economy financing program, implemented by the European European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), will provide financing to Moroccan private enterprises through local financial institution partners. Supported by the European Union (EU), the Green Climate Fund (GCF). It will enable local companies to invest in green technologies, reduce their costs through climate adaptation measures, energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies.
