Acquisition of several medical equipment

Centre Radiologie Rond-point George, a multidisciplinary clinic specialized in radiology, offers a wide range of medical examinations, including, interventional radiology, covering both vascular and non-vascular interventions, ultrasound, mammography, MRI and CT scans. To enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer experiences, the company has opted to purchase a new medical equipment’s from Siemens Healthineers.

  • New scanner model Somatom Go Top designed to meet the specific needs of individual patients, delivering optimal image quality with reduced radiation exposure. It incorporates automation and intelligent features that simplify the scanning process, enhancing workflow efficiency and boosting productivity, the Somatom Go Top is more energy-efficient, consuming less energy both in operation and sleep mode.
  • The MULTIX Impact system is a digital X-ray imaging device designed to significantly improve patient experiences during examinations, due to its design and ergonomic features. It incorporates the myExam 3D Camera, which ensures precise setup for each examination. This technology not only contributes to enhanced image quality but also boosts patient satisfaction by potentially reducing radiation exposure per image. Moreover, the system is designed to be energy-efficient, consuming 1.87 MWh/year less energy than conventional equipment still in the market.
  • The Mammomat Fusion, a mammography system, delivers detailed and clear imaging of breast tissue. It is equipped with MaxFill technology which uses the incoming X-rays more efficiently. Furthermore, this system can achieve a reduction in annual energy consumption of 650 kWh.
  • The ACUSON Redwood ultrasound system delivers high image quality and improves workflow efficiency. It is designed to be environmentally conscious, consuming less electricity during scanning compared to previous models. Additionally, the materials used in its production are highly recyclable, with over 99% of its weight being recyclable.

This new investment benefiting from technical assistance and financing provided by Green Value Chain has enabled the clinic to increase its market share. The energy savings achieved through this project is 4.34 MWh/year of electrical energy corresponding to 32 % compared to the baseline and 2.48 TCO2/year of GHG emissions avoided through the energy savings.

Green Value Chain (GVC) in Morocco is a credit facility of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to provide funding to local partner financial institutions for on-lending to Moroccan SMEs belonging to agribusiness, processing industries and logistics value chains and ecosystems. Supported by the European Union, the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the Korean Technical Assistance and Cooperation Account (KTACA) and the EBRD Shareholder Special Fund (EBRD SSF), the facility aims to improve competitiveness of SMEs and that of their value chains and ecosystems through highly efficient green investments.
