Pharmaceutical company in North Macedonia invests in better working conditions for its employees

The company manufactures medicine, cosmetics and chemical products since eight decades. It has 1,250 employees in the country and representative offices in Switzerland, Turkey, the USA and other countries. Being the leader in the region, it maintains high production and environmental standards.

To meet the energy consumption standards and good working conditions, Alkaloid AD Skopje decided to retrofit its manufacturing site constructed in 1970 and applied to WebSEFF for the loan.

The project included thermal insulation of walls, replacement and insulation of roof and installation of energy efficient windows.

The WebSEFF team performed the project analysis to make sure the investment leads to sufficient energy savings and reduction of the CO2 emissions.

The investment allowed the company to decrease its energy bill  that leads to fast repayment of investment. In addition, the working conditions were significantly improved.

This project proves that the energy and cost savings may occur in all sectors and technologies, making it worth to explore such possibilities with the help of in-house or outsourced expertise.
