Energy efficiency measures reduce the company’s energy bill
Promtechnika Facility Management is a foreign investment company managing office buildings in Brest – the free economic zone in Belarus.
The company decided to apply to BelSEFF for a loan to perform a holistic thermal modernisation of their office buildings constructed in 1967 and 1995 respectively.
The project consisted of the new building envelope, new energy-efficient windows and hot water radiators with a possibility of regulation via the thermostatic valves.
BelSEFF provided a loan of $300,000, and also assisted Promtechnika with analysing the proposed technology, financial-technical parameters and risks of the project.
The $300,000 investment allowed the company to achieve 30 per cent energy savings of the current energy consumption and improve the quality of the 2,700 m2 office area, which is largely leased to tenants such as a bank branch, a small restaurant and accountant offices.
This way, the client benefits by increasing its profits through energy cost savings, as well as securing their attractiveness on the market in the long-term.
The tenants will also benefit by enjoying improved comfort levels and working conditions. Last but not least, the project will have a positive environmental effect for the local and global community with the estimated reduction of CO2 emissions by 35 tonnes per year.
This project was supported by Czech Republic.
