Clean energy production from biogas solar power plant, in Aksaray
TurSEFF loan is helping clean energy production from a 1.067 MW biogas power plant (BPP) in 2017. Within the scope of this investment, The Company has supply agreements with nearby farms to supply cattle manure and agriculture waste. Also, Yapılcanlar Group will use livestock waste as raw material which is a by-product of the Company’s own cattle farm.
Yapılcanlar Group has long been operating in the electricity, agriculture, tourism, and fuel sectors. Their renewable energy investments include PV power plants as well as biogas facilities.
TurSEFF consultant advised company about the innovative ways of reducing its energy costs.
Company financed the investment by TurSEFF loan blended with technical assistance. During the project implementation TurSEFF consultant performed the project analysis, assessed the potential of electricity savings, financial-technical parameters, and risks of the investment.
The company used € 1,240,725 TurSEFF loan from a partner financial institution. As a result of the investment, the BPP will provide 7,103 MWh energy saving. Also, thanks to the investment, 44,895 tonnes livestock and agriculture waste are reduced annually. This green energy investment will contribute mitigation of climate change’s negative impacts.
The plant helps reduction of the CO2 emissions up to 3,921 tonnes per year.
The Türkiye Sustainable Energy Financing Facility (TurSEFF) was developed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to provide financing for Resource Efficiency and Sustainable Energy investments. European Union (EU) and Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Treasury and Finance are supporting TurSEFF by providing finance to Technical Assistance.
