FMB is a Serbian manufacturer of plastic packaging goods made from polyethylene and polypropylene. The company decided to improve its production process, increase its productivity and reduce energy consumption by replacing three old and inefficient plastic moulding machines with two news ones.

FMB applied for a WebSEFF loan via a Partner Financial Institution. The WebSEFF team performed the analysis of the investment, its technical-economic parameters and risks to make sure the investment leads to sufficient energy savings and reduction of CO2 emissions.

FMB invested € 370,800 into new processing equipment that is more energy efficient and resource efficient. As a result the company saves € 78,000 per year as 1,300 MWh per year. This translates into environmental benefits reducing the CO2 emissions by 80 per cent.

This facility was developed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and is supported by the EU and the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF).
