Shamsiddin Rustamov is an entrepreneur running one of the promising agricultural projects in the city of Gissar. His primary focus is the creation and development of a fruit orchard on a hillside. To realize the project, he rented over 38 hectares of dryland from Pavandi Dusti LLC for 49 years. The area is located in a zone with favorable climate conditions for horticulture, though it required significant initial investments, particularly for water supply and the creation of infrastructure.
The project was initially long-term in nature. Work on the site began with land preparation, slope planning, and soil treatment. The next critical stage was the establishment of an irrigation system, as no orchard can function properly without water. Given the terrain, setting up the irrigation system required substantial capital investment.
In early 2025, the client approached Arvand Bank for financing. On February 18, 2025, he was granted a loan of TJS 2,650,000 for a period of 24 months under the GEFF Tajikistan program. The loan was allocated to the creation of the hillside orchard and the installation of an efficient irrigation system. The deal was managed by credit specialist Anvar Khamroev.
The loan funds were used for the installation of irrigation lines, purchase of equipment, construction of water reservoirs, and reinforcement of sloped land. These efforts allowed the orchard to be fully irrigated, laying the foundation for future fruit-bearing trees and ensuring the project’s successful development as an agricultural enterprise.
The project was successfully implemented with support from the GEFF Tajikistan program and Arvand Bank, which played a key role in its success.
