Liderfood was founded in 2008 and was initially located in an old building rented by the company.
In 2016, the management decided to renovate and rebrand the company, which meant investing in a new energy-efficient building and production line.
Liderfood turned to the EBRD’s GEFF programme and received an extensive report prepared by project consultants, with recommendations on how to make its new building and production line more energy efficient.
Through the programme the company bought new refrigeration equipment and constructed a completely new, energy-efficient building.
“Taking care of the environment has always been a priority for our company. We planned everything from the start and purchased new equipment for this project. Liderfood aims to grow and provide new services in the future with support from the EBRD and its programmes,” says marketing manager of Liderfood Kato Kikabidze.
The project is supported by EU4Energy and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF).
