Solar panels help reduce costs and contribute to the sustainable development of the company
Founded in 1997 in Almaty, the Seyco Group of companies has been successfully operating in the Kazakhstani plastic products market for over 28 years. In 2015, the company significantly expanded its operations by launching the Keruen Plus LLP plant, which produces sewer and water supply pipes as well as plastic window and door profiles.
As production volumes increased, so did the company’s electricity needs. In 2024, the company’s management made a strategic decision to adopt renewable energy sources by installing a 495 kW grid-tied photovoltaic power station on the plant’s rooftop.
The partner for the supply and installation of the solar panels also introduced Keruen Plus management to the GEFF Green Economy Financing Facility form EBRD. Bank CenterCredit, a financial partner of the program, offered favorable financing terms for the project. One of the key factors contributing to the successful approval of the application was the fact that the selected Longi Solar panels were already registered in the Green Technology Selector, which significantly expedited the review process.
In May 2025, commissioning work was completed, and the solar power plant was put into operation.
“The use of solar panels allows us not only to reduce operating costs but also to run our business more efficiently and sustainably. Investing in innovation is investing in the future. Thanks to the GEFF program, we have taken an important step toward sustainable development,” emphasized the company director.
